This post gives you a detailed outline of how you can test your own conversation flow. If you would like to see information on how to build a flow, click here: How to Create your Own Conversation Flow

Testing

So you've created a Conversation Flow matching your needs? Great! Now what's left is to test it to make sure it has the desired behavior. To do so, nothing simpler:

Once you have saved your Flow, the save button will turn into this:

Clicking on it will open a chatbox made to test your flow.

A new conversation will now appear in your inbox page, you can interact with it the same way you would with a regular conversation.

We would also adise you to turn on the Detail the steps of my flows with internal messages option. As its name implies, this will send extra internal messages during the flow to detail which steps were triggered, why some got skipped and so on.

Turning on the Use anonymous contacts when testing flows option will allow you to test your flow with brand new contact each time. This can be useful if your flow uses prequalification questions, or a behavior that only occurs during the first conversation.

Use analytics to improve your flows

Once your flow has been used, you can check its analytics to see which parts could be improved. To do so, click on Analytics & History.

Once on the page, you'll be able to switch between different versions of your flow, and find out which one performed the best. At any time you can revert to a previous version by clicking the Restore button in the bottom left corner.
